The heart of this retreat will focus on one of Won Buddhism’s most fundamental teachings: “Mind study is the basis for all studies,” and the ancient Kemetic teaching: “Man know thyself.” These two direct teachings have been interwoven into psychological theory. Thus, we will delve into these teachings and explore the practical application of mind study in our everyday lives, using the tools of journaling and other mindfulness practices.

We will also sift through some of the important commonalities and differences between Won Buddhism and the field of psychology, and consider how each can support and enhance the other.

This retreats aims to discuss a sacred science that has the ability to incorporate everyday mindfulness practices that move the whole of humanity closer to living in their one true nature.

Practitioners of all levels are welcome to attend. Retreatants will have the opportunity to listen to dharma talks, join in dharma discussions and engage in practice centered questions such as, “Is it possible, and if so, how does one study one’s own mind?” Further, how do these questions apply and how are they utilized in one’s daily life?

Dr. Lennell and the Won Dharma Center ministers will be available during the retreat for personal dharma interviews.

Join us in this beautiful and peaceful retreat setting to enjoy deep contemplation and reflection. The tranquil and supportive environment of the Won Dharma Center offers healthy vegetarian meals, miles of beautiful walking trails, and a community of dedicated practitioners.
