Buddhism is the translation of the Korean word bulkyo, which means “path to awakening.” Buddha, which means “awakened one” in Sanskrit, said that enlightenment is the only path to alleviating human suffering. If we wish to go somewhere, we need to first know our destination as well as the path that leads us there.

We will study various Buddhist traditions during this retreat to investigate the meaning and significance of awakening and its process, so that our practice and lives may be guided and redirected towards it.

Join us in this upcoming retreat to motivate, deepen, and strengthen your practice.

Beginning practitioners will be taught the essentials of meditation, such as proper body posture and breathing techniques, as well as basic concentration techniques. Practitioners with more experience will have the opportunity to deepen their practice.

This retreat takes place in the beautiful environment of the Won Dharma Center, suitable for deep contemplation and reflection, allowing the mind to reveal its innate tranquility and wisdom.
