Guest Teacher
Sunjung Yun became a Won Buddhist kyomu (priest) in 2007 and spent about seven years serving the communities at both the San Francisco and Valley Won Buddhist Temples. She continued her studies to earn an M.A. in Asian Studies from UC Berkeley in 2014 and a Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies from UCLA in 2021.
In the fall of 2021, she joined St. Olaf College as an Assistant Professor of Religion and Asian Studies. Rev. Yun is currently in the process of seeding a Won Buddhist spiritual cultivation group in Northfield, MN, as part of her ongoing journey in community-building and spiritual development efforts.
