The Head Dharma Master of Won Buddhism USA
Venerable Juksan serves as the Head Dharma Master of Won Buddhism USA. From his youth, Venerable Juksan has been a seeker of universal truth. In 1979, he received full ordination in the Won Buddhist Order in Korea. For eight years following his ordination, he served Master Daesan, the Third Head Dharma Master of Won Buddhism. Under Master Daesan’s guidance, Venerable Juksan deepened his vow and cultivated unwavering faith. Before coming to the United States, Venerable Juksan held several key roles in Korea, including Regional Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Area and Director of both the General Affairs and Edification Departments at the Central Won Buddhism Headquarters. Since assuming the Head Dharma Master role at Won Buddhism USA in 2021, he’s been instrumental in creating a new Constitution and establishing the organization’s headquarters of USA at the Won Dharma Center.
