In the midst of daily life, we are constantly meeting changing conditions—pleasant and unpleasant, expected and unexpected. Often, without realizing it, our mind is pulled in different directions, and we lose our sense of clarity and balance.

This retreat offers a simple yet profound framework for returning to a steady and grounded way of living. Rooted in the Won Buddhist teaching of the Grace of Heaven and Earth—one of the Fourfold Grace—we will explore the Eight Ways of Heaven and Earth as a practical guide for daily life. Through learning and reflection, these eight ways help us see clearly, respond with consistency, and remain balanced and free from attachment to changing conditions.

At its heart, this retreat is about aligning with the original mind within us—a mind as vast, impartial, and steady as heaven and earth itself. Rather than trying to control life’s circumstances, we learn how to return to this deeper ground of mind and align our thoughts, choices, and actions with it.

Through meditation, dharma talks, quiet contemplation, and time in nature, you will have the opportunity to look inward, reflect on your patterns, and reconnect with a more centered way of being. 

Designed for both beginners and experienced practitioners, this retreat offers a supportive environment to reset, realign, and deepen your practice. Step away from the busyness of daily life, and return with a clearer mind, a steadier heart, and a renewed sense of direction.

Noble Silence

Participants in the retreat will observe noble silence throughout the retreat period. This means refraining from all forms of communication with other participants, both verbal and non-verbal

Member Discount Information

A 15% of member discount is available to Dharma name holders who regularly attend Sunday services and/or are current pledgers. If you believe you qualify for this discount, please contact dharma@wondharmacenter.org when submitting your registration form.

Payment terms

All deposit and registration payments must be submitted either online using the built-in PayPal payment method or sending us a check. If you register more than 14 days before a retreat start date, you must pay at minimum a 50% registration fee. You can pay the remaining balance upon your arrival. If you register 14 days or less than 14 days before a retreat start date, you must pay the full registration fee at the time of registration. All retreat registrations include a non-refundable $100 deposit.

Your payment will include PayPal service fee of 3% for each transaction.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• All retreat registrations include a non-refundable $100 deposit.
• Won Dharma Center does not provide refunds of registration payments for cancellations made 14 days or less than 14 days before a retreat begins.
• For cancellations made more than 14 days before a retreat begins, Won Dharma Center retains the $100 non-refundable deposit as a cancellation fee.
• Refund requests for emergency cancellations made 14 days or less before a retreat begins must be submitted via email to info@WonDharmaCenter.org and must include an explanation of the emergency circumstances. Won Dharma Center reserves the right to approve or deny these requests. Emergency refunds are not eligible for refund of the $100 non-refundable deposit.
• Retreat Transfers: If you request to transfer from one retreat to another WDC retreat within a year (more than 14 days before the start of the retreat your are registered for) there will be an additional $25 transfer fee. This policy is valid for one year. In some situations a transfer may not be possible and normal cancellation procedures and fees will apply. Transfers are not possible 14 days or less than 14 days before the start of your retreat.
• No credit or refund is available if you cancel on the retreat arrival date, or if you leave the retreat early for any reason.
